Default Aaron Gray

What a night he had , 22 points - 19 rebounds. Although his scoring was down in a couple of the past games I blame alot of zone collapsing on him and double teaming and him kicking it out for the open man . Anyways to the real meaning of this thread , am I the only one that think its a good possibilty that Gray gets drafted late in the first round ? Thoughts?

I think he's got a good chance to go late 1st, he's a guy that has improved drastically over the last 2 years.

The thing that makes me a bit nervous is that he isn't a great athlete, but he's very efficient, knows the game, great fundamentals, etc.

Certainly worth taking a shot on late in round 1. Hell, if Chris Kaman can go top 7 why can't Gray go top 30?

Even though the NBA game is currently in the "run n gun" "play guys with talent regardless of position" phase...good big men with solid fundementals are still always coveted. IMO, Aaron Gray is a definite first rounder, he's done too much at the college level to ignore and has improved his game each year, and my guess would be he's scooped up by a team that has more then one 1st round pick...hopefully NOT the Sixers.

Unfortunately for Mr. Gray, despite his great work ethic and great feel for the game, as well as being a nice throwback, old school, back to the basket center with good post moves...I don't particularly see him thriving in the NBA. I see him as a Chris Mihm type...a guy that isn't a laughably bad white boy center, but one that certainly isn't a force to contend with either. I can see him finding a niche as the 1st big man off the bench to give teams some toughness.
