Exclamation USC and Colorado State cancel 2008 meeting.

LOS ANGELES -- Southern California and Colorado State have mutually agreed to cancel their 2008 game that was scheduled for Sept. 6 in Denver.

USC said Thursday it plans to replace the game with a home game, giving the school seven games at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The Trojans haven't played as many as seven home games since the 2000 season.

USC beat Colorado State 49-0 at the Coliseum in 2004 in the only game between the schools.

I am glad this happened. No reason to play a crap team that you are going to wallop. Kind of a waste of time and a bigger chance for injury. Thanks USC!

Playing crap teams is the way of college sports these days though ....It helps in rankings for powerhouse teams and helps them get warmed up for the tough games ...kinda like a preseason game ....and for injurys you cant know when they'll happen just because they play Colorado St. doesnt mean anyone wont get injured in the game that will replace that ....cant predict injurys
