Default Michael Jordan's Son-Jeffrey

M.J.'s son Jeffrey generating interest from multiple schools
Aug. 22, 2006
CBS SportsLine.com wire reports

After a summer on the AAU circuit with the Rising Stars program and an appearance at the 2006 Nike Camp, Loyola Academy's Jeffrey Jordan has seen his recruiting stock rise according to Rising Stars coach Mike Weinstein.

"Jeffrey is a coach's kind of kid, a throwback kid, a real workaholic," said Weinstein. "He's an in-your-face defensive player."

After wrapping up summer AAU play, the 6-1 guard and son of Michael Jordan is receiving interest from Division I schools such as UCSB, Colgate, Davidson, DePaul, Holy Cross, Illinois-Chicago, Illinois State, Lehigh, Loyola and Northwestern.

If he continues with that kind of work ethic that they speak of, the type his dad had, it won't matter where he goes. He will be a sucess and make it to the show.

Thanks for this update! I had no idea.
Welcome

I agree with that. Bet he is looked at a lot harder than his dad was.

For those that do not know this fact : Michael Jordan was cut from the varsity team as sophmore in high school.

This is true but by the time he was a senior in High School he was an absolute monster and everyone wanted him. His son is a decent prospect and I wish him all the best but he's more than likely a mid-major caliber player.

Maybee but Pete Rose was a mid-major caliber player and look where hard work put him. In team sports we all know a superstar can carry a team but they can never do it all alone. He may not break records like his father did but I still think he will be one of the elite and be an impact no matter where he plays.

Only if he continues with the hard work, and doesn't get the "I have arrived" attitude.
