Georgia Tech's Morrow injures back
Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Georgia Tech junior guard Anthony Morrow suffered a stress fracture in his back and will be out six-to-eight weeks, according to head coach Paul Hewitt.

Morrow, who led the Yellow Jackets in scoring last season, was diagnosed with the injury earlier in the week after complaining of back pain. He will have to stay off the court and will undergo bicycle and underwater conditioning.

"We have decided to shut him down and give him every chance to be 100 percent healthy before we start the regular season on November 10," said Hewitt. "Anthony had a great summer and made significant progress in many areas. Hopefully, this will not set him back too far."

The 6-5 guard averaged 16.0 points per game last season and his 42.9 three- point shooting percentage led the Atlantic Coast Conference.
