Default Report: USC reinstates QB Sanchez

Three days after charges against him were dropped, quarterback Mark Sanchez said he had been reinstated by USC.

Sanchez told the Los Angeles Times on Monday that he had rejoined the team.

Prosecutors decided Friday not to file charges against Sanchez , who had been accused of sexually assaulting another USC student.

Los Angeles County deputy district attorney Richard Tacklander, who reviewed the case, concluded there was "a lack of sufficient evidence beyond a reasonable doubt."

USC had suspended Sanchez, who is listed as the backup quarterback to John David Booty on the team's depth chart. He is expected to battle for the starting quarterback job this fall. Booty practiced only once this spring before he injured his back and had to undergo surgery.

"I'm just so happy it's over and now I'm just working to get past it," Sanchez told the Times.

Happy Times I am looking forward to USC over the next 2-3 seasons. They look to have some really really good youth on the team
