Thumbs up Jason Kendall's 1st HR in 961 AB's

Man this thing barely got over the fence. Amazing he hasnt hit a home run since 2004. That is unreal for a major leaguer!

"With the A's leading, 5-0, Dan Johnson walked and up stepped the mighty Kendall. Or should we say not so mighty. Kendall hadn't hit a home run since 2004 and has been known for slapping one-handed singles since he came to the A's last season. But, on a 3-1 pitch from Joel Peralta, he poked one that barely cleared the 330 mark in left field.

"I think the moment that it became clear that it [was a homer] is when it disappeared," said Macha, with the home run ball lying on his desk.

After Kendall hit his first home run in 961 at-bats and 247 games, the A's dugout sprayed onto the field."

Glad to see it though. I am a huge A's fan, so good to see they can at least beat the Royals. LOL!
