I don't disagree Chris wants ASM to succeed. He's a greedy cocksmoker and he sees a chance to bring ASM to IPO and cash out. It's the use of sacrificial lambs and ultra-poor management that chaps my ass.

You are definitely right about one thing : none of us knows all the facts. We can only make judgements based on what's there. But my Mom used to always say, "If it looks like shit, and if it smells like shit, and if it feels..."

So, given that, I will just comment on your replies to two issues brought up, one's in which I DO have all the facts, first because I am a computer programmer and second because I have spoken to some badass lawyers.

1. "Breaking a dozen U.S. laws to comply with one." I'm talking about the compulsion of the KYCF last summer and now the upcoming account reaqcuisition. First of all, being in C.R. doesn't excuse them from U.S. jurisdiction when they serve 95% of their business in the homes of Americans. Chris claimed they could not process withdrawals without KYCF around June of last year. In other words, "Fill out the KYCF or you don't get your money." This is illegal compulsion of Social Security number. Under no circumstances may any entity compel a party to reveal this information, especially through the use of force or threat as Chris did. All Chris had to do was give a 60 day opt-out period or something, but he didn't because the real reason the KYCF was put out was to delay withdrawals. If indeed ASM needed this information all along as they claim thats their fault, tough shit you noob(Chris), that doesn't give you the right to just wave a wand and compel this information. Plenty of people said they would give this information once ASM was U.S. entity as well but Chris said that was no good. Lastly, NO NEW USERS ARE NOT INFORMED. There is a quick blurb about having to give SS # now stuck somewhere in the middle. Nothign about notarized ID's snail mailed to my knowledge. AND. BIG AND....Why doesn't ASM collect this information BEFORE YOU WITHDRAW!! When I created a Scottrade account online I had to give my SS number just to create the account. How come ASM does not do this if it is trying to follow regulatory law? And then, even after I created the account, I had to make my first deposit with a mailed check and a copy of my ID. Again, why doesnt ASM take ID BEFORE accepting deposit since thats the right way to do it ??? Give up compadres, because HES A GREEDY FUCK OUT OF MONEY and wants money in but no money out.

2. "He should have had a backup." Dude, Inspekt does not lie when talks about how easy and cheap it is to make sure data is backed up. The simple bottom line is that Chris fucked up big time and it was a concious choice to not put the appropriate safeguards in place. Think about it...the site was restored to a point in time approximately 2-3 weeks ago. So clearly Chris decided to make SOME sort of backup on a regular basis. SO WHY NOT DAILY with information this important? You don't have to be a tech genius to realize there is no good exuse. Thing about it again...suppose there was some bizarre catastrophic glitch that hosed the hard drives on the server...How would that affect some tape backup sitting in a closet that was made 12 hours earlier?????? Its so cheap and easy its not even funny. If Chris is too cheap to spring for daily backups do you really think he's putting ONE MILLION DOLLARS towards advertising??

Peebs,

thanks for your efforts in trying to make Chris explain his visions in the forums.
Looks like he'll run his usual show in that thread but oh well.. nothing new and not your fault. So, thanks for trying!

With regard to the backup, here's a good laugh for everyone:

(from 2005, by the way). I'll leave it uncommented.

One question I can't address because I don't have a ticket, but those who do, are support tickets from the last 2-3 weeks there? In other words, was some data backed up and other not?

Hey folks,

Just a bit of information. I recieved an email today saying my withdrawal will be sent "early next week". I have been waiting on this withdrawal for going on 2 months. I will let you know when(if??) I receive it. This is not to take sides in this debate, just for info's sake.

Kfunk, email me at mudluckymarketing@yahoo.com. I would like some clergy chat if you don't mind.

Mud
