Default MLB, what a comeback

Opening day and most div reserves couldn't make it back to a hundred bucks. Even though everybody got their mega split which was supposed to drive trading throught the roof.

Hmmmm. Well, I'm a new trader. I don't have much money to invest but I think I will put in 20 bucks and see how it goes. Aahh, ok, I think I'll buy 5 shares of the Twins at a dollar a piece. Wow! Next time they win, I'll make five thousandths of a cent! What a bargain! If they win a hundred games, I might make .50 cents! No wait, the reserve will be plundered to nothing by midseason again. No, no I won't make 50 cents.

A basic savings account will yield a better return while being FDIC insured and available to withdraw at any time. Don't see what difference the amount invested would make.

So, with all the new traders, what leagues ARE thriving now?

You guys crack me up! LOL

As for the leagues that are thriving, no clue. Not the ones I am invested in. I think you have to be in the most recently IPO'd ones to really be having a shot at some good DIVs. Just my opinion tho.

From Google Wikipedia:

In terms of overall league revenue, the NFL, MLB and the NBA (in that order) rank as the three of the four most lucrative sports leagues in the world, the fourth being the Premier League of English soccer. Based on June 2006 exchange rates the NHL ranks as the world's fifth most lucrative league, slightly behind the Premier League. However, the Premier League has only 20 clubs — depending on exchange rates and what is defined as revenue, the Premier League's average per team revenues are very close to, and could be ranked ahead of, the NBA's.

A..S..M....PLEASE! THESE PEOPLE NEED YOUR HELP!

It took me 5 seconds to reafirm what I realized last year. The leagues where the money's at, have essentially been left behind in the dust! So have all subsequent crappy IPOs.

So they're still playing the IPO game to keep their heads above water? LOL

If those are the most lucrative sports leagues (with the largest fan bases) than who the 'F' is on ASM!? If there aren't any fans to support these leagues? ASM left all the money behind a LOOONG time ago. So WTF ARE they doing?

And people think ASMA1s will go public in our lifetimes?!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! GET REAL! The big 5 leagues should always give you a great indicator of the health of the market.
Even after all the splits, the trade volume numbers nearly remain the same as pre-split.

Out of kindness, someone here better start setting up an 800 number hotline now. There's some people who are going to need some serious help in the near future. Before it's too late.

Vess man....

The people here already have their money there. I'm pretty sure no one is putting more in or encouraging their friends to join. All, I think, any of us are trying to do is get it out without getting kicked out.

I still keep playin' the trader game, buy low, sell high and will continue to and try to get out my initial investment until I can't.

I don't want to talk for anyone else, but I think most of us are in that same mode.

Well said...as much as I will always agree with Vess's opinions, I'm now past the point of asm bashing. Its just a joke to me now that has a snowball's chance of hell of paying off. They think they have taken my money but luckilly they dont know where my real money lies.

Whether or not I get paid, my efforts on the legal scene continue. Nothing would please me more to get paid AND see chris behind bars.

Probably neither will happen.

All I can say is right now I have a total win-win situation with ASM. If ASM succeeds, I am paid off well. If asm fails, then i get to see asm fail. Either one of those will be a day of celebration for me.

Yeah, I pretty much knew that. I'm just stating the obvious again. It just burns me that a few out there are still willing to defend it.

There is no argument. They cannot defend themselves anymore.

Vince, you have a great outlook on it all. I really do hope one or the other happens, for everyone. I can understand why you'd be beyond the point of bashing. It's crazy. It's insane to me that there's people that could play an IPO game, masked as a sports exchange, for years, and still believe in it all.

I just got an email from Google. Apparently Gmail had a hard drive crash and now they have lost the last month of all emails. Good thing tho, they have the tech department working on it. If it isn't restored in a timely manner, they have offered to compensate us with spam emails to replace the lost space in our accounts.

That is customer service!

All 200 people on the exchange? Of which maybe 10 are actually "cheerleaders" at this point. I think you are only preaching to the choir at this point.
