So now that this has officially been postponed, did anyone think it wouldnt be? Has ASM ever actually hit a deadline? Ever?

I'm actually more suprised that he actually took the time to make the official announcement (or rather, the announcement that there'll be an announcement.. eh whatever)..

by the way, is anybody going to the Expo? I would love to see who they find to pose as representative of Woods / Rogers.. it's listed on the schedule but I have a hard time believing it.. will anybody be able to find out?

That won't be required because the expo (like everything else) will probably be postponed and costing a few traders their travel costs that ASM has already thoughtfully added that they won't cover if this were to happen.

But they may still be able to get a tour of the Delorean dealership.

yeah, I was more hoping that there's someone from the Houston area who could go check it out without paying anything.. but you're right, eventually, they'll call it off anyway.

LOL! I really did laugh out loud at this one. This could exactly be the case. I just wasn't thinking about it like that. Yeah, having an expo for members only doesn't make much sense. I wonder if 50 people will show?

But anyway, getting this thread back on track. No, I'm not suprised at all and I wasn't expecting them to hit this date within shortly after I got here. After seeing how many simple things were delayed.

After all this time, people have really shown in the forums how little anybody really knows about anything. How little investigating has actually been done in order to be informed. The whole process. What's going on. People know nothing. I'm not claiming to be an expert, but if you really want to know, take one look at the SEC's website and everything that's been talked about on ASM and put it together. You'll soon realize there's an entire LIST of things to be done before an IPO could even be possible! Most of the people on ASM expect this to go straight from Costa Rica one day to Wall Street tomorrow. It's unbelievable. And, as every one of these major milestones would be met, I don't think we would have to wonder if Chris would let us know about them in the forums, in a vague way anyway.

First the site would have to get all of the problems done and over with. Hire more staff. Get ready to have everything completely be public knowledge. THEN go to congress and try to figure out if the site is even legal for God's sake!! Or if they will make it legal. Then IF IT IS, electronically submit everything to the SEC for approval so shares could be legally sold. Hire a legitimate independent auditor. THEN you have to find an underwriter willing to risk it. I don't know what all this talk of finding an underwriter now is about! All of this would have to happen and then the IPO *ANNOUNCEMENT* would most likely be 6 months in advance of the IPO in order to hype it up.

lol, Tiki mentioned in a thread that this is 'the quiet time'. A term referring to the period of silence that normally follows submission of everything to the SEC until the IPO, when in actuallity, nothing's been submitted to the SEC. We're not even close to that step yet! So he's just one of many who acts like he knows what he's talking about but has no clue.

If you really want to look at this....everything contradicts! Chris was looking for an underwriter (and thought and claimed to have had many offers already before the legality of this was even known) when I signed up. Just recently hes talking about going before congress to hash out the legality of the whole site. The IPO is supposed to happen in 2 days. This all tells me ASM has NO IDEA WTF they're doing!!!! They don't care. IMO, it's all for show.

ASM has no idea what they ar doing?? Like I said before I think they know exactly what they are doing with the ASMA1 shares. ASM is probably only disappointed at the price they are trading. They tried everything to get this price up high but it just didn't work (splits, DRIP, mentioning probable opening price etc.) Just one post in the forums that ASM isn't gonna be regulated and the shares are worthless and ASM a couple of million richer.

Probably in more ways than one. Chris is probably down to about, ooooooh, 20 million shares by now. Somewhere there abouts. Who would know? I'm sure he doesn't share his password with anybody.

Slinger: Why did you start this thread anyway!? Go look at the ASM forums. It's their 2 year anniversary!! We should be popping the champaign corks anyway! Despite no IPO.

That's surely not intended to be a diversion. LOL I bet if ANYBODY even mentions the IPO date on their forums over the next two days, they'll get their ass chewed 10 different ways to Sunday!! LOL Just watch it unfold.

I don't care about Chris' shares. He only has 20 million shares if this company will go public, which it will not. There are "only" 4 million shares that are paid with real money, which will become worthless soon.

Exactly that's the only reason. It sound really professional to have an expo, where people can meet you so they know ASM isn't going to run with our money. But I think it's just to calm people down for another month (I've seen this expo crap before with an internet scam). The exposervices.net company doesn't exist and the expo is never going to happen. Think of the phonecall reduen made to the hotel and they never heard of ASM:

It's a domain that is registred anonymously on the 24th of july. And just look at the forums, this girl Sandra B.(ollocks?) is always posting when Chris is also posting.
