Default Tired of dividend payout % debate?

I know I am extremely tired of watching this get hashed out on a weekly basis! It's all a broken record. It makes me laugh. Nobody has ANY and I mean ANY!!! perspective of the situation. Nobody can step back and look at what they're arguing. Just look at it! Chris should be nothing less than embarassed by this debate! This shows that upper management in the early stages (planning stages) of this thing were either, too lazy, arrogant, optimistic, or simply didn't have the foresight to play with some numbers and maybe run a mock exchange to see what would happen with these leagues. They didn't have the foresight to think, hmmm, well the nfl season lasts 17 weeks, oh wow, MLB lasts 162 games. Hmmm, aahh what the hell. Lets set the payout percentage equal for all these leagues and see what happens! lol It's laughable. It's completely ludicrous. This not only makes ASM look bad in the first place, but the fact that there's been changes and they still didn't get it right and people still have to debate it in the forums makes it look even worse!!
Instead of management figuring it out for themselves, taking ASM by the reigns and running the company. Pointing it in the right direction. Setting a course and getting all this behind them as fast as possible!! All the arguing and bickering on ASM's forums makes management look like fools. And to be honest, it makes traders look like fools for not realizing they shouldn't have to debate this week in and week out. It isn't their job. ASM should have put that fire out looooong ago. People are actually being PAID to figure this thing out!! Does anybody think they are earning their pay? Don't be afraid to rate this company. Don't rate it on how much people have made playing the IPO game. Rate it on how well management is doing/has done, their jobs. I give them an 'F'.

If ASM has to get something done, they'll arrange a contest to get it done by the traders. I'm still suprised they didn't ask the traders to make the KYCF. I give them an A for lazyness. And I think we should be embarassed by the input Chris gave to this discussion. Some of these traders have really good idea's how the make the exchange better. Only problem with these traders is that they will bring it up again every week. And then last week Chris joined this discussion with the "5% dividend protocol across all leagues" thread. The reason why he opened this thread he explains later on in this thread:

We are seeking simple solutions (where possible) to make ASM easier to explain to the public.

Chris opened the thread like he always does with: "Let's open an intelligent discussion". And then states: Let's make all 25 percent leagues also 5 percent so the stupid public will understand our exchange better. Lazyness again cause implementing a formula is probably to much work for them. And I think opening that thread was not very intelligent also.

That's so true. IMO, the sickest part of this all is the constant argument that "lower payout %s will make the teams more attractive." Every time I read that, I wonder what kind of pill these people took. That's first grade math: lower the payout % and keep the commission fees the same, and whoosh, the only people to win will be - guess who - ASM!

Do these people with this argument really believe that new users will buy and sell shares, pay 10% in commissions and be happy with a payout of 1 cent? For a share "worth" $10, that's $1 in commission fees and with low payout structures, it takes MONTHS to earn enough dividends to cover the commissions. So, these people only have two choices: a) wait, which means that they don't trade, which means that the pots don't grow, or b) sell for significantly higher prices. And here's the funny thing: the same people that call for lower payout %s also complain that people sell shares for overpriced amounts of money! That's ridiculous! Do these people actually think every now and then before they post?

Now, it's great if a team has a game pot (forget about these stupid terms like Dividend Reserve, blabla.. that's corporate crap talk - things don't get better if you give them a different name) of a few thousand dollars. But hey, wouldn't it be even better if someone would actually receive some of that money???
That radio interview from Dark Star was kinda embarassing in that regard.. he was like "wow, these teams here have thousands of dollars in their pots - that's fascinating" - Yeah, right, I wish someone would have taken the time to check how much that is in payouts because it's like 1 cent per share and the rest stays safely with ASM. Ridiculous. The only reason why Chris favors a 5% payout is NOT because it's easy to explain to the public but because it means that a LOT of money stays with ASM for a LOONG time and at the same time, ASM can lure new investors in the same way Dark Star was blinded: just show them these high pots but hide the fact that investors won't see much of that.

The fact that ASM refuses to fill gamepots with external advertising revenues is proof to me that ASM is not for real. Glock's argument that "we don't like ads" is an example of ASM's shortsightedness and hypocrisis. Chris doesn't have any problems using pornographic ads on his Tica websites. Yeah right. "We don't like ads." Funny.
Oh well. I guess potential advertisers are smarter than that. No one would advertise with a scam like ASM!
