I have never been in the business but have spent some time at the tables. I would imagine or speculate that the hourly isnt much to write home about. The TIPS are probably where the money's at.

Just my 2 cents.

If you are friendly, talkitive, and entertaining then you will get more than those that are not.

If people are winning, you will get paid.

If they are losing, forget about tips.

I imagine it is an up and down business.

No idea on the real numbers tho mate.

I used to play alot of blackjack and talked alot to dealers.....from what i've heard they split tips....so the small table/rude dealer makes the same as the high roller/big tip gettin' dealer.....I don't play anymore...I only play NL Holdem when I go to casinos...seems those dealers keep their own tips.....and they do alot less explaining how to play the game....lots of people who play blackjack have not clue and put their $$ down for a lesson, from what Ive seen.....If I were gonna deal it would be in the poker room and not the blackjack table. Sorry for the rambling. Hope it helps though....

Blackjack dealer has to do more explaining also because people come and go from blackjack tables more, poker dealers have more people to deal to but do it far less often because hands take longer and you have to deal with more peoples chips if its a big table. I would guess blackjack dealers get more tips......ive never been though haha
